Used Tuned Performance to have a PROM chip which was written by a shady character who used to be on this site. well Tuned Performance did the chip for super cheap, made sure the tuning was done right (which it wasn't) and kept it on record so if it needs to be upgraded it can be. he was very knowledgeable and got me all the answers to all my questions. very very pleased

I'm another one very happy with Tuned Performance.
He recommended and then helped walk me through a few procedures dealing with IACV and TPS issues. He fixed a gremlin that I’ve been fighting for a long time. I will not hesitate to use his services in the future .Thanks Tuned Performance.

I had ordered a chip from them and when received it wasn't even the right chip for my fuel injection. After numerous attempts to resolve this with no reply, I have contacted PayPal and reversed the charge.

I had the chip done by another vender and it's flawless.

The contact was great at first with tuned performance until I purchased but once I told him I think the chip isn't right as it kept on going in limp mode instantly and low behold it wasn't I had the bin checked and it was not even for a tbi.

 

You sure it's the same guy? Doesn't sound like him. We have had numerous problems with guys who make PROMS, but TP has done well for many of the long time members of this forum and offers a lot of helpful knowledge. Maybe he can chime in here and figure out what the problem is.

That's the same. He's gone very quiet recently, I'm sure he will sort your chip out but he seems to take mini sabbaticals. He's not answered my last 3 mails but I'm sure/hope he will in time.

 

I got a chip from Tuned over the winter and I haven't had a problem. Dude is an essential part to the TGO community.

It sounds more like Z28Wiz is talking about John Wayne Chips. Many Many people have had problems with his chips with the exact same results for customer service and quality. He's always trying to post and sell on Facebook.

 

Tuned Performance has had some pretty serious health issues over the past few years. Which is why he always seems to disappear every few months.

 

No I'm talking about tuned performance his Facebook site is right in his profile. I have all the correspondes saved.

If its him then something is not right.
What ever it is he's helped many, many, members here including me.
I'm forever grateful for his help when nothing else worked, he taught me a lot and with a EPROM he sent literally "fixed "the nightmare I was having.


What I'm saying is, to my knowledge, you are the first person in the 9 years I've been here to complain about his service.
Not that your experience is to be overlooked but that's a pretty good record.
