stealth ram and vacuum

I'm getting this engine listed here:
http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/1578...rip-Engine.htm

I'm throwing a SR on top. Now since my car was origionally equiped with TBI, I have questions about how the vacuum lines work with this setup.

For the engine, I'm not getting the egr installation kit for the egr valve on the tpi vortec baseline becomes im not installing the egr or smog stuff.

Where do the vacuum lines connect to in tpi cars, for brakes and hvac... etc...???

Will I be ok plugging up the egr hole on the baseline? Will I be able to have power breaks and working hvac?

If yes, WHY?

also, any suggestions for injectors/size will be very helpfull as well as if I should go with MAF or Speed density equiped harness and computer. WHat did everyone who uses a stealth ram do about an airfilter setup too?

Well, two days and no responses, I'll give it a shot.

I'm partial to a speed density system, since that's what I have. The vacuum lines come off the back of the plenum and go to the brake booster, the MAP sensor, and the fuel pressure regulator.

My HSR doesn't have EGR, so I can't help you there. I did have to disable it in the chip to keep the SES light from coming on.

I'm using a stock TPI air filter setup right now.

No HSRs have EGR unless you make a custom one yourself. I just left all the EGR stuff disconnected and removed the vacuum lines for it. I didn't even get a Service Engine Soon light.

In my opinion, the MAF setup is easier because it is more forgiving when you mod it, and the HSR itself is a big mod. Speed Density setups require much more accurate chip tuning. Not to say that MAFs don't, but SD needs more.

I have my PCV connected to the vacuum port on the bottom of the plenum. I have my Intake Air Temp sensor, brake booster, fuel pressure regulator, and HVAC vacuum lines connected to the back of the plenum.

I like my #25 SLP injectors. Many people here like the #24 Ford SVO injectors.

I'm using the stock Camaro air intake setup.

i have this engine and love it.

i plan on buying a hsr for it very soon. running ported plenum and 52tb now. i will go to 58 with hsr.

i have egr but will get rid of it when the hsr goes on.

24lb bosh injectors on mine and they work great at 45psi.

i have sd but think he is correct about maf. maf can help tune itself by air flow sd can't. playing with chips is supposed to be easy but it can't be fun.

good luck and let us know how she runs!

Are you going to put a Super Ram (SR) on the car, or the Holley Stealth Ram (HSR) as others seem to think?

dirtbiker,

never tried to up load pic but will see about it in the next few days.

honestly, i looks about like the old one. it just runs a heck of a lot better.

i actually bought a steath ram but it needs quite a bit of modifacatoin before it will work with vortec heads/intake. it is sitting in the box it came in, i just need to get it on ebay.
