Mini-ram leaking oil......

and it is accumulating in the bottom portion of the intake where I ran my gas lines. It isn't leaking around any of the gasket areas, what I do see is a trail coming from the front injector housings on the #1 cylinder.?.? I plan on changing the injector O-rings, soon when time permits, but I cannot figure out where else it would becoming from.? Possible cracked manifold along the bottom somewhere? Distributor isn't leaking, front & back is dry & nothing coming from valve covers. Doesn't smell of gas, its def oil. Thanks for your input

Did you put sealant on the intake bolt threads?

Re: Mini-ram leaking oil......

I had the same thing happen to my stock tpi manifold it comes up from the bolt holes. I just installed my mini ram when I installed the bolts I first got them stared then put tons of sealant under the heads of the bolts before running them all the way down. The oil is really anoying and it makes you thing somthing is wrong but it's just coming up from the bolts. unless maybe you have a poreus casting? that could be fixed with jb weld.

Curious what kind of power are you making with your combo? Any dyno graph or track times?

Re: Mini-ram leaking oil......

Yeah I usually double check the intake bolts because I noticed most bolts only thread the first half of the bolt. If you dont get enough sealant in those lower threads I could see it definately leaking.

Funny you ask...I just took it to the track last night. Overall satisfied, but I feel it could be better. Given the stock 3rd gen block & crank with all my add-ons listed in signature, I ran best a 13.563 @ 104.16. My tires were slippin a bit a the line too, ended up w/a 2.039 60'. What i'd like to get is a dyno so I know when to shift my car, otherwise i was trying different shift points and ended up between that 13.563 and 13.810. If I had maybe Flat-head pistons vs the stock dish I have now, i think i'd be better off. My cat is probably restricting my air flow also.

Now onto my "oil leak" that I have, I think its actually moreso a fuel leak with a haze of oil from the crank case. Fuel in which evaporates & leaves behind the oil. I went to go change my injector o-rings this morning, I found that the injectors weren't seated flush. I removed them, cleaned everything up then re-attached them with the same o-rings. The injectors sit really flush against the manifold now. I don't know how that worked out, but i'm gonna drive it for the next couple days and see if that solved the problem. Thanks for everybody's input!

Re: Mini-ram leaking oil......

Well, I think I FINALLY discovered....the injector itself is leaking. I contacted the supplier for my 24# Venom Injectors & they are replacing all 8 for new ones.
