HSR: what to do about EGR stuff?
I should be receiving an HSR unit tomorrow, along with the Holley fuel rails and Ford Racing 30#/hr injectors. I pulled most of the SuperRam stuff off today.
I realize that the HSR does not have provisions for the EGR unit, so that goes into the bucket. Do I simply plug the vacuum hose that goes to the EGR unit?
What about the charcoal canister? Is this unit affected in any why?
Will the ECM show an error code for the missing EGR?

Charcoal canister stays put. Its hose plugs into the throttle body and wont care you have a Stealth Ram.
You will probably get a code 32 for the missing EGR. A custom chip with the EGR code turned off is the only fix. You'll need one anyway to take advantage of the HSR's better breathing at higher RPM's.

Kevin,
I do program my own Eproms. I just dont know how to turn off the EGR business. Is that in the "switch table" ?

Yes its in the switch table. You turn off the check for Code 32.

Thank you!
The HSR came today. Its alot heavier than I thought. I got the 1205 gaskets. I plan on cleaning up the inside flow surfaces a little; smooth them up alot.

what system are you running, MAF still? On my 6E setup i dont recall a switch for egr but egr cycle duty tables and a set value for egr enable. I just made the values in the tables 0 and the set value i made some ridiculous high value so it would not turn on. Plug the vacuum port off the EGR stuff.
Side note i ran the HSR for a few months on my L98 without reprogramning the chip and i never had a EGR code/ SES light go on

I am using my MEGA MAF setup. I am using the 6E mask.
EDIT: I just looked over the 6E mask,,, Orr, as you said, there is no constant table to uncheck. I did find the table that you mentioned. I will set those values to zero, and look for the enable table.

yeah the two tables i played with jsut to be sure EGR never came on was Disable EGR if MAT < X. Its temp based so i turned it all the way up. MAT never will hit that temp so EGR should be disabled. Thats the constant/scalar
Also Tables section, there is EGR cycle duty vs LV8 and RPM. Set all that to 0. EGR should be disabled
