Re: anyone ever made superram runners?
Well, if you're crazy I guess I am too. I've thought about the same thing.

I thought about finding and buying some used SLP siamiesed runners and cutting them approx in half on each side and welding on a flat flange on top. Then I was going to make a fabricated box using the same measurments as my SuperRam plenum.

*Thought about* is as far as I ever got. I don't have a welder or any fabrication experience so it'd all have to be farmed out to a welder. I've got a SuperRam so I just decided to use it the way it is.

What are you trying to accomplish or your goal? We have modified the Accel SuperRam runners to greatly increase the airflow. There are detailed threads here on ThirdGen.

Re: anyone ever made superram runners?
the unit would not come with runners so i guess i could make them short if i wanted. Just askin to get some ideas and findout if it would even be somthin to mess with or not. Might be kind of fun if it didnt cost a grip to have made.

Re: anyone ever made superram runners?
Actually making the "runners" an extension of the plenum may be the way to go and easier to do. The "runners" would be siamesed until you split them where they join the intake manifold. Check out this thread and the "adaptor plates I made up for the First. You can do the same for the Accel.

Then make up a plate that attaches to the Accel plenum. I would make that plate one big oval inside to be an extension of the plenum. Now you would need to divise a way to make the 90 degree oval tubing to join them together. Here is the link to give you some ideas.

And this thread to show how the SuperRam runners were modified.
