Mini Ram Max CFM? Bench said 283 after head porting, true?

Just had my heads ported, they were AFR 195 that were cnc ported from them, had them further cnc ported by local place, heads now sit at 210cc 310 cfm @ 650.. He flowed my Mini Ram with and said it stalled out at 283? It would look as though it should flow more. Was looking to be above 600 with this but would not seem possible now. With calculations the car was near 540 at its peak and best with old combo.

Nevermind, Just saw the data in the sticky, I guess I am ahead of the game at 283 w/1204 gasket. Looks like runner expansion time.

I think the numbers are probably correct for the mini-ram from the data I have seen posted over the years. It will be choking your heads. I'm not sure I would have spent the money on having the heads ported as they do quite well out of the box. IMHO you would have been better off spending the money on the intake manifold.

Why does the miniram have a 1204 port?

The heads flowed 280 cfm, the intake while attached to head flowed 276 - that is pretty normal and enen considered good to be just over 1% drop. So at that poimt the heads were the restriction, and as said the car was near its peak effeciency at 540hp. So I was utilizing both to their potential, and the heads would continue to be a limiting factor..

Anethsis: When I bought the intake 8 years ago I had stock heads, they give you the option when ordering. I have since only done some port matching, but plan to hog out some to 1205, may try to work the top edge of runners some as well and radious some.

Ahh.. Now that explains it. Cuz I was wondering why you would have ordered a 1204 miniram for AFR 195s..

Good luck on the porting. Hopefully the casting is the same and you don't have to add material..
