BBK turtle ram
I was thinking this inatke was dead, but yesterday I was at NAPA looking through their performance book and just so happened to see they're advertising this intake for sale with a part number and everything. I still don't think it's true just seeing if anyone else has saw this before.

Re: BBK turtle ram
More like a reduced-plenum SuperRam. Actually a good idea. And they're listing improvements of 50 HP @ 5100 RPM. Who started calling it a Turtle? It fits, considering how slow it is, trying to get to market. If it ever arrives, I'd try it on a 327.

Re: BBK turtle ram
LOCK LOCK LOCK...... no need to beat a dead horse again..... that intake is dead and everyone has moved on.... plus it looks ugly and there is no excuse for such huge delays.... LOCK THIS...
Re: BBK turtle ram
Forget about this. Not worth it, you'll be bucks ahead to look at a mini ram or a single plane conversion. There was a reason it was left on the cutting room floor, because no one would buy it for what they wanted to charge really. In general unless you run a TPI, doing anything with the TPI its self (in this case it uses a TPI style base) is not really worth it. For the price of a set of AS&M runners and the rest of the aftermarket TPI stuff you can have a decent intake setup if you do it right.

Re: BBK turtle ram
Not trying to bring a dead topic back again, I wont be using it i've got 90% of my single plane parts so I'm going that route but if the mods want the thread locked it's fine with me, I just saw the intake in the book and it had me curious.

Re: BBK turtle ram
Wish someone would reintroduce an intake like the old SLP Short Ram. Simple, worked, and gone before it's time.

Re: BBK turtle ram
They (tpi design) are all fashioned after the 69Z28 crossram intake except they made it too small and it runs out of air. The crossram worked very well for Penske and the other chevy teams but they only had 302 inches to feed.

Re: BBK turtle ram
There is nothing that resembles the Z28 crossram, the cross fire manifold sort of resembles the crossram.

Re: BBK turtle ram
Did it have an E.O. number (and EGR obviously)?
Are there any out there in the real world?
