It looks like a modified ceasefire base with a custom lid. Its different for sure, would like to see some numbers on a stock and modified motor!

Yeah who knows how well it performs, and how tall it is. but the cool factor is there. If it was like $200 I'd buy it just to have something to talk about in the shop.

$500 is a little rich for a novelty item though. Although I admit I've had higher bar tabs

......... Its an Edelbrock SY 1 ... affectionately known as a Smokey Ram ... lots of interesting history on the relationship between Smokey Yunick and Vic Edelbrock ...... It is a crossram design intended to get runner length while using a stock height hood ... a flat tunnel ram so-to-speak ... the design was used a ton in Trans-Am racing in the late 60's ... if I owned an engine dyno , I would have the time to test all my crazy ideas but that just ain't the case ... I'm having trouble scheduling my current build for a dyno run because the shop is booked and every other week I'm on Chemo for colon cancer ..... Murphy's law comes into play every other week ........

Re: Cool intake on ebay

The ebay ad says

"These intakes were well known for fuel distribution issues with carburetors ... EFI should cure all that"

I bet they did have distribution issues! And the ad doesn't say EFI DOES cure all that either. It looks like the injectors are placed at the top of the intake runners so I bet there is still fueling issues. AE would be interesting. But hey at least they're "Hot Rodding"
