8 stacks are great, IF you have the right controller. Don't waste your time and money on the FAST EZ stuff. It's a compromise to say the least. Use something that has good cyl to cyl fueling and either a real fast processor and/or multiple transient fueling tables. Once they're done right you'll be very happy.

This is the way they should run. This is a 443 tall deck with 9.7:1 and a 260@.050 solid roller. Idles at 850 all day.

SBC Down Draft 8 Stack, Has Anyone Installed One Yet?

Is that the black speedmaster unit? That's damn nice. I'd expect some issues with proper butterfly sealing and such so no out of the box running system but for the money it might be worth a shot. Anyone have a link to the black setup? I don't want the adapted hayabusa throttle bodies or whatever they are

Oh a reworked mech injector. I have a couple of crowers. I was looking on my phone so I didn't quite catch that. I have a nos crower mech fi. I just don't want to hack it up for efi. The unik system I have us efi already. I'm interested in the ida type throttle bodies

Do you have any details on tge engine control system if the car in that vid?

Re: SBC Down Draft 8 Stack, Has Anyone Installed One Yet?

I was thinking on ditching my current T76 turbo setup and Holley Stealth Ram and installing one of those ITB's setups, and planning on keeping the Holley Commander 950 management system to control the ITB's.
What do you guys think?
Please be gentle if you dont agree

If you're looking to obtain the best drivability possible with an IR intake, then the 950 is NOT the way to go.
Personal experience tells me that.

One of those intakes, the LS crossram, Looks just like the setup I saw on How its made Dream Cars. McLaren F1 I think.. Either way. Pretty cool stuff. The one for an inline 4cyd is sweet. Put one on one of my M37's...

Re: SBC Down Draft 8 Stack, Has Anyone Installed One Yet?

You can put one together a lot cheaper. Get one of the chinese moon crossram knock off manifolds and then a set of DCOE throttle bodies like lemenition, vgs...etc. Maybe speedmaster has dcoe style also, not sure.

As for the black one being a kinsler, I see speed.... on the base plate, what does it say there? Surely not speedmaster if it's a kinsler?

II have a couple of crossrams and stack systems, it gets expensive to set up real quick,... can't beat the looks but for the price tag ... wow

My crossram is a carbed one but I also have a mickey thompson gm prototype crossram that's set up for some kind of injector and has integral butterflies. Once I figure out what the deal is with the injector bosses I'm going to run it on an engine.

I've always wanted to run a carbed crossram, I miss the triples on a Z I had, and have wanted something similar for my V8. But its just too expensive and hard to find parts for when a normal single plane intake and good carb will do.

Re: SBC Down Draft 8 Stack, Has Anyone Installed One Yet?

this is mine, it's not a moon crossram. It's a custom cast manifold (as are the log manifolds for the turbos and some other aprts, they are 1 off items), it has 4 Dellorto DHLA 45 tri jet pressure carbs with high rpm/boost enrichment (3rd jet) off a US spec lotus esprit turbo (eu spec used 40s)

Gotta remember most of what you're paying for is the throttle bodies. 8 tpi throttle bodies wouldn't be cheap either... lol
