HSR Injectors question

Hi, I'm buying HSR with fuel rails. One thing was confusing me: Seller says that he had to drill injector holes bigger for Holley 44lb/h injectors. Does it really exist psychically bigger injectors? I always thought that the "tubes" which go to the injector holes are same size.

I'm now wondering does my Bosch 3 Fit for the manifold?

Re: HSR Injectors question

FWIW, I have never heard of having to enlarge injector holes, whether fuel rail or manifold. What holes, fuel rail, manifold or both and why? I would be leery of such modifications, but that's just me!

Just the manifold. That's what I was thinking... But maybe add another o-ring will fix it?

Who is selling the manifold?

I'm running siemans 60lb on mine. They are tight, but you don't want leaks. I use motor oil on the o-rings prior to installing.

Re: HSR Injectors question

Being in Finland, I don't imagine there being a huge selection of parts to choose from. That said, you could probably get O-rings that would fit if yours are not "tight" in the manifold. The o-ring is designed to be a tight fit in the bore as that is how it seals so adding a second one may or may not work. If you get a thicker o-ring, be sure it is gas safe as O-rings come in many different materials. Does this come with the fuel rails and FPR? JFYI, Jegs is advertising the Chinese version of the HSR for $200 and advertises delivery by 11/16 in the U.S. This is without fuel rails or FPR but you should be able to source those for about another $200 so it kind of equals out. What ever you do, GL and hope everything goes well!

Re: HSR Injectors question

Yup, Finnish USA parts stores are over priced... You can get usually cheaper from USA including shipping, taxes and customs. It comes with fuel rails like I said but no FPR. I was thinking, if he drilled the holes because injectors o-ring were too big for the holes. Then my buddy said that there might be other issue, because you can't be so lazy to buy new o-rings...

When did they advertised it? Maybe I wait for that deal, because I don't need the Holley text to my manifold. Same Holley rails can fit to the CH HSR?

Re: HSR Injectors question

Read this thread, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/alte...e-285-hsr.html

After reading your post the first time, I went to the jegs site linked in the thread and saw the manifold for $200 and reported that in my reply. Is that still valid, I don't know so you would have to check it out. Reading through the thread, I see some members say the injector holes don't always line up correctly with the Holley fuel rails but it still works. I forgot about shipping to Finland and the taxes and customs so you would need to figure that out. You may want to see if the seller will guarantee the manifold won't leak at the injectors because of his opening up the holes. BTW, how much did he open them up and how? That might play into your decision. HTH!
