HSR/fuel rail question
I plan on machining the HSR to reduce the overall height. I will be milling down approx. .25 off of the height of the base. Now since I do not have a set of fuel rails yet my question is if I lower the height of the plenum will the fuel rails come into contact with the plenum? I plan on using the Professional Products Powerflow Fuel Rails 10608.

Here's a thread on using procomp rails. Looks like the challenge is 89-92 to linkage hitting a crossover line elbow.

The ones I listed have the cross over in the middle under the plenum. This is one of the reasons I chose these.

Re: HSR/fuel rail question
Can someone post a picture of the front of the HSR showing the gap between the plenum and the fuel rails? Or the lack of a gap?

Re: HSR/fuel rail question
So I found this picture on here and it appears that there is approx. .25 between the plenum and the fuel rails.

Re: HSR/fuel rail question
I just went out to the shop and measured. Definitely not 1/4". It's 3/16"(-) from outside edge of the fuel rail to the outside edge of the plenum. That's with the Holley fuel rail that came with the kit which looks to be 7/8" wide. I don't know the width of the PP fuel rail. That might jam things up if its wider.

Re: HSR/fuel rail question
That HSR can be a PITA. Works good but I had to take my strut tower brace off. For icing on the cake I'd bought a used OEM composite/glass hood ( the one from the early cars) to put on the car to get some weight off the nose. And those steel hoods are brutal heavy. Of course that didn't fit either...

Going into this the two things I was well aware of was that there is and issue with hood clearance and and the strut tower brace I have I more than likely won't be able to use. But with the modifications that I'm making to the HSR I'm hoping will cure these problems. But if plan B is my only option ie. cutting the hood, I'm ok with that. With reducing the height of the HSR I'm hoping to give myself more options with clearance and a STB.
