Re: TPI A/M runners thread

From what i recall, as&m offered their regular big tubes and then a siamesed runner that basically was just a welded in plate on a set of their big tube runners to make the opening siamesed. As seen in the pics there. Personally never seen them used. Only the big tube regulars. Siamesed everyone bought the slp’s it seemed

The AS&M runners I've seen before. They come up for sale occasionally here and there. As for the TPIS runners on that cover, they appear to be welded from top to bottom. Pretty sharp! -I have never seen those anywhere. .....mind if I brag a little? -quick pic of cut, ported, welded and powdered SLPs. BIG smile!

Re: TPI A/M runners thread

Unfortunately no, I purchased them from another member many years ago. I can tell you the port work is very precise and extensive, and runs the entire runner from plenum side to manifold. They're BIG! ...but unfortunately no in progress pictures.

What's your top end like with those beauties?

Still low. They're on a 383, so nice as they are.....they're still a little small. -and I built the engine around those traits. Smaller heads, medium cam. Absolute torque monster, but still gives up barely over 5000. I wanted a long tube TPI on a 383, and this was the only way I could see to do it. .....I'm sure someday some big modern intake will find it's way on top, but for now it's a ton of fun!
