Here's mine taken on a normal camera and scanned through. There is pinstripes around the stripes, but the resolution sucks.

Where did you guys get the cowl hoods from? I either want a 2" or 4". Are the undersides cut out so you can run a taller intake/carb spacer-are they fiberglass or steel? I have'nt done much research yet but it's soon to come. BTY they all look great!

How much should a decent 2" cowl run??? Last summer I came across one in a junk yard, fiberglass, but I had to pass it up cause I needed a steering colum more. Anyway, the guy wanted $100, and wouldnt budge. Did I turn up a good deal???

Thanks,

Z

that would have been a great deal. The 2" cowls cost $430 or so from sports car design in Next Gen, so I'd say that was a good deal! I like the cowls, but am unsure what it would look like on the 91-92 style. If ANYONE has a pic of that I would love to see it, thanks in advance.

I just got a 2 5/8" scoop out of JC whitney, cut a hole in the hood, riveted it on, used some JB weld, bondoes, and sanded. And sanded. And sanded. Took around 4 hours total, but it looks great. If you want, Ill scan some pics of what doing it entails, I took a few pics of it.

That hood scoop is killer, i really like that look. FYI though, its a 3.8L. Im not sure if you just missed the key or if you thought they were 2.8's, im sure it was just a typo. Big diff though.

/ Me LOVES the shaker scoop...........

That's what I thought, ad. Aren't they Buick engines, or something similar to Buick's 3.8's? Man would I kill for a TTA.

I've always like the look of the indy cowl style hood from usbody, reminds me of the C4 hood.

and is that a firehawk logo on that TA with the cowl hood?

goto http://www.usbody.com/WhereQualityComesFirst.htm

select 82-92 firebird from list and price should be listed.
From what I've heard it appears they have good quality hoods at USBODY.

I just got out of work and its 10 o clock, so my sister who has the scanner is asleep. I will try to get them up Saturday. i have a few pics of how it looked before and after, but none are all that great. Just for another angle of the car, and potentially a better pic, here's another of the cars. The black camaro is my 2.8, and that 67 with the white stripes is my fathers other son. A 454 .030 over lives in the beast. Yet again i apologize for the poor photo quality, it was headers or a digital camera, guess what i chose

I'm sorry, but I think you made a big mistake putting that on a TTA. Did you do it for looks or other reasons??

By the way, man you got some nice cars, how come you own 2 TGNs?
