How do I remove the RS Style Spoiler?
I am buying a 92 Camaro RS, and the guy who owns it put a Z28 High Rise Spoiler on it
without taking off the RS Style Spoiler, personally I think it looks kind of goofy
, and I want to take off the RS Spoiler and Move the Z28 High Rise one about an inch back to the factory location.....but I can't figure out how to get them off!
Here is a link to a pic of the car to show you what I mean:

Zer0321, The stock RS spoiler is easy to remove. There are 10mm nuts holding it on. 3 nuts on each side piece. (you must remove the interior trim panels in the hatch to get at them. When you lift up your hatch you will see about 5 black plastic 1in or so plugs beneath the spoiler. take those out with a screwdriver and then you can access the nuts. You will have to take the plastic piece off your rear hatch to remove the 91-2 Z wing. Once you remove the trim, however he bolted the wing on should be obvious.
Damn...
I gotta admit, I've never seen 2 spoilers mounted at the same time like that... doesn't look as bad as I thought, but still.. I'd get rid of one of em for sure..
Being an RS, I'd probably keep the RS spoiler and sell the Z28 spoiler, but that's me.
Anyway, that car looks nice. Congrats on buyin' it!

That's going to be a huge project.
After you remove both spoilers, you'll have to either weld the holes, or indent them and fill them, drill new holes for the Z28 spoiler in the right place, then paint the rear of the car and reinstall the spoiler properly.

Yeah, I definatly want to keep the Z28 Spoiler, the RS one looks like all the others out there (including my old 84 SC)....so how much are we talking to have this done (Old Holes filled and painted, and new holes drilled?) Thanks.

As soon as I read the post I knew it had to be! (Amorget is from Washington, BTW, not Oregon.) He caught lots of **** for keeping the RS spoiler on there with the high rise spoiler. Cool that someone on this site owns it now!
