I need help picking out A color the will look good on my car.1984 Z28
midnight blue metallic
huger orange
back to factor grey
flame red
or other

 

Id say Black or Blue


Remember, nothing outshines black

 

keep it the orginal color....or you will have to paint the rest of the car to make it look right...the engine bay, door jams, under the hatch etc etc.

 

Defantly black Are you gonna paint or have it done by someone?Is it going to be a 1 stage paint or base coat clear coat. I did my own and am happy with the results and the 355 ish bucks that I spent on everything.Mine is a one stage paint but there is less of a shine than having a base/clear job, but many people in my town think I have a base/clear job .

Hey 85SC, can I ask 1 question? Who did the paint? Did you take it to a shop or did you have a friend who did it on the side? Or did you do it yourself? Cuz for $355 that's looking pretty good!

 

I voted for Hugger Orange cause its not seen on many thirdgens. Black is common, but you gotta love it.

I had a little *magic* added to the stock blue. It looks like purple at night and a blue metallic in the sun.

 

Midnight blue metalic! I thought about painting mine that color, but I like green too.

 

i think adding your own spin to a popular color that you like is the best way.....

personally, i think you should go with what you want and shouldn't even consider what others think. be yourself, it's half the fun with the car. a unique color that is both subtle and eye catching is never a wrong way to go.

out of the colors you've posted, i would go with a shad lighter of the orange you want, or at least something with a little less red and have the guy put a layer or two of gold pearl..........absolutely stunning yet perfectly subtle!!

also, a color that isn't seen to much, take a color like the polo green on 92's and add a gold pearl........lightens up to a beautiful candy green without all the hassle or cost of a candy paint!

but, if you want common colors that are seen everyday i would stick with the bright red or black.......easily the most popular.
