Time out! What Volvo? You mean to tell me we both have Irocs and Volvos? I knew I liked you for a reason.
We've got an S40 1.9 but that will probably be replaced by the 40 sport wagon next March (due to the baby's arrival in July).

If the paint is old, I would say Step 1-3, helps clean out contaminants. But with a new car just go with gold class.
Oh, that's not my car, it's my GFs Mom's. We're taking it to the beach this weekend.

my paint is old, original, i think considering the amount of miles on the car. it looks good all cleaned up though. i'll hit the 1-3 one sat when i have time and the weather is not so hot.

WOW the cars look great guys, for the first time in a year I waxed my car but I just used the basic Meguiars stuff nothing fancy. I just sprayed the car down good and dried it off (no car soap) then put on one coat of wax and took some pics that will be up soon. It looks great not to shinney just a natural just out of the factory look, next time I will pull the car in the garage to to it, I think doing it out in 80 degree weather in the sun is not a good idea. I also had the plastic in my gauge cover replaced, it now has high grade acrylic and its crystal clear

another thing, try to do a clay bar before you wax and polish it, even new cars can appreciate the clay bar, makes it look so much sweeter, and wax goes on easier, and even just a rinse sometimes will do without using the soap
