Just a question about the B&M Mega Shifter

Can someone tell me whats the difference between the console model and the regular model? i know the console model fits right in our factory console but are they the same hight and are the mounting holes the same? the reason i ask is because my buddy took one out of his 57 chevy and he told me i can have it for $20.00 i want to know if i can use it or not in my GTA either way i'm still gonna buy it. thanks guys and gals

Even the console model needs to have some extra mounting holes drilled, so don't feel bad. The biggest difference between the universal and the console shifters is the cover plate anyway, so no big deal.
The shifter 'designed' for the F-body takes a fair amount of fabbing and modifying to install, so yours shouldn't be much harder to do.
Check the Aftermarket Product Review and the Transmission boards for install tips. We do this thread every couple of months.........
