Pics From Carlisle

Went to Carlisle GM Nationals with Mark A Shields and Nasty_Bird90. Below is a link to the pics. There are about 30. They arent resized. Its been a long day so I just uploaded them up. They are all thirdgen related. I took about 150 pics total. I will make some pages up for the rest of them later... Enjoy.

Some might make cool wallpapers....

Shows how tired I am, I was about to check out the pics. It was a fun day, rained early and cleared up. I got some good pics, and deleted 64 by mistake. I had some bad luck the whole day. Next year, there needs to be some more of us going up.

The red hot one didnt have the clear corvette lights. there was an orange one at the end that had the spoiler I could fit my head 2 high underneatn. The red hot one was nice overall. It had the gts taillight covers with the iroc stickers on them...

I have never seen some many cleartaillights in my life though...

I was focusing on flames in most of my pics that I took cause I was trying to think of a good ghost flame design. Here are some non-thirdgen related...

Or maybe I just wanted to be flamed?!?!

As much as you may dislike that last one please dont bad mouth it cause I dont want the post locked. Just point and snicker at your screen. No reason to comment

Did anyone stay for the burnout show. I had signed up, but I didn't feel like waiting around, and then running into traffic.

You guys were there? And you didn't try to find us? And you call yourself fellow thirdgenners?lol, jk. I didn't see your car at all 86fyrbrd, and I know that would have stood out.

Check out the Mid Atlantic board posts I've made, July 27th in Calvert Co., there is a car show every Sat. , and right now looks like there will be about 14 of us so far, anyone else want to come on down?

I believe 86 blew his motor...

Hopefully, they will decide on thirdgen shirt soon. Will help alot if we go to card shows with meeting other members. Also it would be cool to make up little business card type things to hand out to people that know about the sight. I guy I bought a camaro sales model from said he just bought a 87 camaro and was have trouble finding any information on it and was having trouble with numbers. I was like... I happen to know a place where you could find out absolutely anything about your car... lol

I thought I had a picture of it. I am realizing I had taken a lot more pictures but I think I was taking them too quickly and they may have gotten lost. I am positive I took a picture of the goodmark truck and it isnt in my pics either. I know I had more shots of 1st gens and the chevelles. Crapihola...

I stayed for the burouts. Some dude in an early 70's (I think) Monte Carlo sat there and smoked them seriously for like 4 minutes straight. The wierdest though was the Ford Probe that tried to burn out. He just drug the rear tires across the concrete with no smoke at all from the front ones. He got laughed at pretty bad, but what was up with a Probe being there in the first place?

Bret,

That monte was insane, I was waiting for the tires to pop but they never did. that had to be the longest burn out I have ever seen.
Also, what did the guy (looked female) blow in the car that had to be pushed, I think he punched a rod through the block, it tried to run for a sec, then died, and I guess had oil in the ground cause after that everyone couldnt stay straight or couldnt stay still. Rite after he started I though he was over reving it.

It was good though

I thought he blew something in the rearend but I'm not sure. All I know is the engine sounded like it reved up really high when it happened and then he shut it off. The monte was definitely sweet but I was liking the extended cab 4 wheel drive gmc truck at the end too.

He was talkin about me, when you left Twist, I laid the seat back and went to sleep, they came up to the car and woke me up. I was like, umm, I'm tired let's go.

Those that are coming to the July 27th show, we'll have to go somewhere and have all of us doing a burnout. Get some vids and pics of it too.

Ah okay... I probably would have done the same thing as you did. Someone else commented in another post that it took them 2 full days to look at everything. Maybe that is why we were tired. We did it all in one day. And went back over the some of the venders... lol

I am trying to find a little more webspace so I can upload the last of my photos. Too much hosted on the first one. Hope to have them up shortly...

Did Nasty_Bird90 change the color of his car....i noticed that in some pics you can see his door jams are they are white...this is one reason i will never change the color of the car...b/c you would have to totaly dissassemble the car to get it right.

Yes he repainted his car. It looks good. I saw the pictures of the progress of the paint. It used to be white. I didnt notice the door jams but then again I dont recall ever looking.

yeah, she used to be white. the jambs will be painted next. i got the car and i couldnt stand to have it white. it needed new paint anyway. alot of cars did show up, but i think we would have been even more tired if it didn't rain because there would have been more cars to look at. the rain scared a lot away. there were alot of nice thirdgens for sale, but they were all too expensive. 2800$ for the duct-taped rust- bucket LG4!! HA! there was a nice 89 TTA there. he wanted too much too, $11,000. valuable car, but not that much!

TTA? I missed it. $11k isn't that much if it had low miles.

Twist, i go to a place called Crazy Rays. its awesome and cheap. every now and again they'll get a few thirdgens, usually during the winter and early spring. go figure! its on RT.1 not far from columbia. go down RT.175, pass I-95, and make a left at the light. there is a Hotel on the corner. You will be on RT.1. go about a mile and you'll see the place on the left. you'll go up a hill befre you come to it. go over the top of the hill and turn into the parking lot at the bottom. if you go up another hill and come to a stop light, you've gone too far. it costs $1 to get in, but its worth it. you'll always find something.
