I'm definately not as good as Abubaca or Cornflakekid, but here is my attempt. I plan on adding more color variations for a look of more depth, but it's a start.

That's slick, Brad!

Abubaca, that TA is niceeee!

devianb, I love your custom camaro and firebird posts. Keep them coming!

billsfirebird, I use Macromedia Freehand.
It's the rival to Adobe Illustrator.

I kinda figured that. I could see a slight difference between work done on one or the other.

Ive heard freehand is better. Ive always used Illustrator because it was the only thing available in our graphic design classes.

Nice job by the way!

HEY Abubaca, Make an 82-84 Style Firebird or Trans Am! if you have time please.... :hail:

Freehand is only better if you are good at it. I do any car freehand and it doesn't take me long. Coloring and Shading freehand is a different story though, thats why I use Photoshop on my freehands. Coloring, shading, blending takes the longest for me. I am amazed at what Art Class majors can do with markers freehand for shading and such. I mean, how do they know where to add light reflections on the cars?

I used Illustrator. To be honest I've never had any formal training in the program and I've only used it maybe 4 or 5 times before, but the results that I'm getting on my car makes me want to invest more time in learning it .

Any advice that you pros can offer on how to make my illustration look better? Or maybe you could do versions of it to show me how it's done

Brad....would you mind sending me that .AI file? I'd love to take a crack at it. You'll have to Email it.

Mark....as far as the T-shirt....I'm the one doing the art....and I swear that the "word" on the street is soon. Let's not discuss that here though....you can check out my post on the T-shirt board.

I'm told that Macro. Freehand is a little more user friendly, but AI is a little more powerful........I am a self taught AI user, and I'm gonna try Mac.free soon.

lemme see if I can't dig up a lil' sumfin here.....

here's what I've thrown together for the Tee so far.....keep in mind the pace car's not done.....so I just threw it in anywhere.

IMO, wheels are the hardest things to draw on a car, especially if you want them to look right at a correct perspective.

Remember when I did this one. This is how my drawings look before they are scanned into the computer.

Heres my drawing, I looked off off 2 pictures and sorta mixed the cars. I had too much trouble with the blower and the front wheel though. I added them as pictures but the rest of it is all my own work.
