Water spots on windows

I took the louvers off the back window of my IROC on sunday. My dad put them on there in late 86 or early 87. They are the three piece kind so where the two side pieces were there are horrible water spots. What can I use to get them off? Someone please help, it looks like there's a ghost of the louvers still on the car.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Jason

You can use Paint Thinner. Put in on a rag and rub in small areas, this way you won't get it on the paint. You could also try rubbing lightly with SteelWool and your favorite window cleaner. There are more ways to do it but these are the only ones I know of.

Hope that helps.

I just bought some Meguires Chrome Polish and it says on the back something about using it on glass. I tried it and it worked GREAT!

Just did mine a few weeks back & they came up like new. I used a wet foam buff pad on a machine buff @ 1500 rpm using a fine 2pack cutter/denipping compound (Farecla). I used to work in a glass factory & sometimes we used steel wool but if you over rubbed it would leave fine scratches. Before you do any method make sure your glass is totally clean as any dirt will scratch.
good luck
