New Dyno Numbers

Hey guys. Some of you might remember that I sold my '91 Camaro and bought a '90 Supercharged vette. I just had it dynoed and here is what I got:

363 rwhp
396 ft/lb.

That was with a STOCK computer chip in a 99 degree shop under full operating temperatures. I am having a custom chip made and I need someone who has software and a laptop to help me dial it in. I don't have the 1st clue on computer tuning and the chip burner said I need someone who can set throttle position, check A/F ratios at different RPM's, and a few other settings. Is there anyone in the Dallas area who can help me with this?

Here is the Vette, incase you forgot what it looked like.

Damn dood.......that is sick! I don't recall, but is this car faster than your Camaro?

Did the car come with the SC or did you add it? What other mods are you going to do to it?

Keep us informed!

The Camaro dynoed 370 rwhp so I don't know which one is quicker yet. They both weigh about the same, so they should run about equal. Once I get the chip in the car, I am told that I will see at least 20 more hp. In cooler weather it should pick up even more. My goal is 400 RWHP with the stock longblock. This car has never even had a valve cover removed. Just a SuperRam, Long Tube Headers, twin intercooled Procharger making 8lbs of boost, Borla cat-back, high flow cat, 58mm throttle body, 30lb injectors and a 160 thermostat. Then I will add a cam, then eventually some heads. I think 500 RWHP is my end goal with the heads and cam upgrade. Oh, I bought the car this way, but they are never fast enough...hehe!!

Nice numbers. Good luck with getting the custom chip.

89formula#1, I don't believe it was the same five speed transmission in the vettes. Hell, I don't even think they had five speeds at all. Memory on that's a little rusty. Been a while since I looked up vette info and history.

Actually, it has a ZF-6 speed tranny. It was available from '89-91 in the Vette. the 4+3 was available until '88 and then T-56 was available from '92-up. I like the stock wheels...gonna keep the sleeper look.

Thanks!!! I know what I like and try my best to get what what I want. I just got my custom chip and the makers of it said I need my warm park idle to be set at 25-30 and my throttle position sensor to be set at .59-.60. I am totally new to computers and need someone who can do this for me. I don't even know what it means, but this is what they told me over the phone. I will pay someone $50.00 if they can help me out. Thanks in advance!!!
