Any good tips on cleaning your windshield

Even after several go overs with glass cleaner my windshield still never looks clean. Is there a good product out there for maybe buffing out the glass? Or anybody got an ancient chinese secret?

I heard that paint thinner can remove waterspots. Is this true? I would like to know before I try it.

As much as I love that car, your sig pic is a little on the big side. Would you mind sizing it down please?

Assuming you're fighting the outside. The best luck I've had was using laquer thinner (it's glass.. you can't hurt it..) to clean most any debris off then going over it with Meguires (I'm almost sure that's spelled wrong) body scrub then some RainX. That how I cured the spots on my 'bird back glass when I got it.

If you don't like that solution, eastwood ( well, that link didn't work) here.. http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/ ... use "glass polish" for search keywords to find all the goodies they have to 'fix' glass.

I've used keroscene since reading about it in Jason Scott's book, "How to Turn & Modify Your Camaro: 1982-1998." A lot of elbow grease is required, but the windshield appears new afterward. Highly recommended.

May sound dumb but my son is a professional detailer and they use Bar Keeper's Friend. It's non abrasive but cleans EVERYTHING off the windows.

The fine steel wool sounds good if you feel little
roughness when you pass your hand over the glass.... I used a little soapy water with 2000 grit wet sand paper, then after drying using glass cleaner,(the foam in the spray can works good) then use newspaper to wipe.... I hope that helps..
Have fun..

Mother's Glass and Chrome Cleaner works great. It goes on like a wax & buffs off with very little elbow grease.

Zainobrother's show-car Glass Polish... you can visit www.zainobros.com if you need info on it... should be a distributor somewhere in your area.

It's the best stuff, you only need about a 1" dab on a foam pad buffer to have a CLEAN, smooth windshield.

Ahh, but what's the best way to clean the inside...? There's some stuff on the inside of my windsheild that's very stubborn to get off. It's tough to get in there along the dash and the A-pillars. Similar problem with the rear hatch actually, it's at a bad angle for cleaning. The residue must be from when the heater core puked, or maybe my brother used to smoke in it (unlikely, but there was a nasty film on the t-tops that took a lot of elbowgrease to remove.)

That's what I used on my car takes a little work but the water spots came off and it looks great.
