Car was broken into the other night
My 89 was broken into last night.
My cd player was stolen along with my console being broken. My blackouts were also stolen. I found my door open a tad so I looked in and saw it was missing. I am waiting for the police right now, I doubt I will get reimbursed being as I only have liability. But anyways no major damage. My 72 is fine though!

No, not yet. He's trying to come up with the money. I hope he does soon. I have to pay $2000 for bodywork on my LeMans!

Yeah that really sucks! I know how you feel, the amateurs that broke into my Iroc 4 months ago popped both locks in, busted the passenger window, stole my amp, 2 subs, radar detector, and mangled the h*** out of my cd reciever. None covered by insurance either.

At least you were able to get someone out to take finger prints. All I could do was make a formal complaint over the phone in Flint and that was it. We believe it was the same three kids that came three times over three months and broke into about 12 cars on our block.

had my other car broken into about a year ago and they stole my cd player about 80 CDs some gym clothes, (about $100) and the change in the center console. total it was over $1200 of damage and stuff (in my eyes). thank *** i didn't have my gun in the center console, that would have been another $400 dollars. (I can carry legaly) insurance only paid out $500. that was enough for the window and a new CD player and pocket change. but heck that was 80 CDs that were stolen. because i had a $500 deductable i lost alot of money. that week i called my insurance and changed my policy. i didn't care what it was, and for me it is relativly cheep because i an 27.
it sucks i know how it feels.
one thing....if the car was parked infront of your garage or house maybe renters/homeowers insurance might cover it, who knows it doesn't hurt to ask.

It was sitting on the street in front of my house so I'm not sure that public property
Did you leave the face plate of you cd player??? Always take the face plate with you.
And the comment about the 80 cds getting stolen, Here's my solution. Buy a MP3 player and burn all you reg cds to MP3S. You will get alot of good things out of MP3 cds.
-you go from 80's to about 8 cds. (i burned my entire collection of 200 cd's onto about 20 cd's) You can get about 10 reg cds onto 1 mp3 cd
-With more music on 1 cd you dont have to change cd's as much (less chance of accident)
-If they do get stolen, just burn another copy.
MP3 is were its at.

Do what I did....u know those annoying pop-ups for video surveillance cameras? I bought one. It works excellent as long as theres a light around the car at night. Records on the VCR, and I bought the optional motion sensor so that it starts recording if it senses motion and stops 15 minutes later. There are a ton of options you can buy for these cordless camers such as rotating base, battery pack, etc.

when my car got broken into, 20 cds got stolen. My insurance told me it was covered under home owners because it is something not bolted down or normally found just in a car. Check your deductible on home owners to see if you can get some cds back. Mine were valued right at 300 bucks and my deduct. was 300. Go figure.
I got my rockford 9300 mp3 deck from an upscale electronic store for $350. It was orig $400 but he gave me a discount because I told him I could buy it on the internet for $300.
Then I bought thr ROXIO mp3 cd creater for $50 to make the mp3 cd's
Then blank cd's, about 100 cd's for $25
You do need a CD burner on your computer though.
Its nice only having 20 cd's in my car insted of 200. Flipping throught a book of 200 cd while driving is not my idea of fun, or safe.
