Most paint jobs are from 1k to 5k+ for a small amount of body work and spraying. Changing the color requires ALOT of work and spraying inside the trunk, doors, hood and whatever else you can think of.

I didn't want to deal with changing the color so I waited and looked around till I found my black/black t-top T/A that I always wanted.

I am getting my car back this friday after getting is stripped/painted... the owner of the body shop is my friend and owed me some favors otherwise I could have never afforded it...he quoted me $5k-6k for the work being done and 11 months of his spare time to complete.

I will post pics as soon as I can figure out how to reduce them to the size required to post.

You get what you pay for. The best way to find out what it will cost is to bust out the yellow pages and call around. Get some estimates on it and you're set.

my buddy is a body man so i dont have to pay labor...i just have to buy the materials...paint reducer and clear...the paint he uses is ppg deltron...he does excellent work so that is not a concern...his boss wanted 4000 to paint my enitre car which is a great price considering the hi level of work they do...my buddy will do all the body work and paint it for a grand...
ive called a half dozen places and even visited a a few to check out there facilty there paint booths and there quality of there work...2 places didnt even have a booth and the other 4 i was not impressed with there work at all....the place that im going to have top quality paint booths top quality paint and higly skilled body/painters.....

im still tryin to find out how much the 3 colors im lookin at are/gallon
if anyone has any information on prices for QUASAR BLUE JAIMACA YELLOW AND BRIGHT RED please let me know

Rob
