wing choice ATT REV, CRAZY, RED AND FLYINLOW
everyone else is also able to voice their opinion but please dont start a flame war..this is an honest question..
ive sold my spoiler that i had on the roc, and i am looking for another.. now you all know me for my "extreme mods" to my roc..but i am not sure about what wing to get next..i have a few from jsp and i wanted to know opinions from you on them...and if you have any other spoilers that you think will look good(remember it has to balance out the front clip as well) place a link or something to that affect in your reply..
here is the first one..

2nd one..this is the one that im really thinking on....it is 58" long which makes it dangle about 3 inches over on each side of the fenders
honestly, nether.
not trying to start anything
but if you are going to go with one of those then the second one IF and I mean IF it didn't dangle off the sides. while i don't like the "different" look. i do try to see things from that angle when i form an opinion. the first one is too big and to high, even for it's own good.
something more like the second one but shorter

dood that first one is definitely too big for its own good, those two tiny legs realy make it goofy. the 3" overhang seems like a lot but how about this one ? it'll hang over 2" per side, and it's only about 10" high so it'll prob look fairly tasteful

logical,
that 2nd one is the same one that i pictured...i like it better then the aluminum one...if i could find revs wing for a decent price id see what it looked like on my car b4 i put it on..and then went from there..
but i do like the 2nd one

the subject on his car has been beaten to death. and all he is asking is opinions on what people think would look good with his car.
lets leave the negative comments at the door....there have been enough of them said already.

I'm not a big fan of the aluminum spoilers, looks wise. When you use them for a purpose that's fine. I think the spoilers should compliment, not stick like a sore thumb. Out of the 2, I prefer the 2nd because you can paint it to blend more with the car. Its still a bit right-angly looking, too squared off at the base. (Sorry, I'm really tired and I'm making up adjectives now).
I like this one I saw on another thread, but I know its not as bold as you want. I also like the high Rise spoilers.

They both will look horrible, look like rice, and I would laugh at it. But that's my honest opinion. Not trying to start anything.
get the WHALE wing!!! http://www.erebunicorp.com/ge/chevcamaro82.htm

Get the commando style wing! Maybe they would look good on a thirdgen? I know they look good on a fourth gen if they are done right. This pics sucks because they didn't take off the regular spoiler! Looks like crap!
i like the one below, only bad thing it cost 400!! but its carbon fiber so i guess its worth it. i have the one radrief posted btw and i like it alot. on and i know uve heard this before flying low... but ur car would look alot better if u got rid of the original spoiler.

The "super" wing kinda distracts you.........about 99% of people that i meet on the streets don't even notice it.....
I say if you want a touring style wing (supports in the middle as opposed to the outsides), buy one that is aluminum and adjustable. Mainly because it will be cheaper than carbon fiber, lighter and stronger than fiberglass, paintable, and adjustable in case you ever get some time in a wind tunnel or something. Do some research online to find out who makes functional ones. The company APR comes to mind .... but anyway, I would use the NET to find out what they use in the circuit racing in Japan.

hey that first wing is kinda like my wing haha...but anyways its all up to you. The one that logikal posted is atcually pretty nice. The second wing is kinda waht I was gonna do before I got my APR wing. The wing that flown has is atcually the one I was gonna use. Its up to you.
And on a side note its kinda sad that even after you ask for only constructive replys some people still have to hate...oh well...to all the people who didnt reply with hate even if you wanted to. Much props to you and thanks for keeping this thread that much more clean.

Flynlow: I did not know you had the 2nd wing iroc2nv posted. I actually like that wing/spoiler on your car. I think what threw me in the posted pics are the bases of the spoiler's pedestals. The look a bit clunky. Probably the color and angle of the shot. Its a shame the spoiler I posted above does not come in a shade taller version. I just like the styling of it, even with the old spoiler still on there.

Ask yourself...
Ask yourself a question. What do YOU want? The best answer for this is functionality, in which case there are a few choices, but the best choice would be a wrap-around spoiler, or a high-rise spoiler.
You don't want it to look like some sort of car that runs only at the track, do you? Remember it is you driving that car. Even a stock spoiler is nice.
You want it to compliment the car, not detract from it. I think that's what everyone is telling you. An agressive spoiler is one thing, but throwing one of those huge wings on the back isn't going to make much difference driving around in town.
You might get more ridicule than compliment.
But whatever you choose, get what you want. Some spoilers look really ugly and others look really good. If you want to stick out like a sore thumb, it's your choice.
You might even get the wrong kind of attention. If that's what you want, go for it.

IROC2NV.....
I going to jump out on a limb and guess you want a wing that looks good.....and personally i don't think a aluminum wing would go good with your paint scheme.....It only works with white and Silver.......Whatever your choice i say keep it the same color as the body.......
My wing also gets rid of that annoying problem of truck headlights in your rearview mirror.....

You want my honest opinion eh? Your a teenager who doesnt have the money to make your car look good by doing sleek mods (like 17" SS wheels, or an SS hood, or a show ONE COLOR paint job) so you have to go as cheap as you can and "RICE" your slow car out to draw attention with subs, neons, crazy spoilers, goofy 16x5" chrome pep boys wheels, cut springs, walmart tint job, all body panels a different color ETC....
