Any ideas how to get tape residue off?

I just got a new hood, and it has some tape residue on the paint from shipping. I tried rubbing it off, but it just kinda smeared. Any ideas?

I used the paint prep cleaner they sell at most auto parts stores on my SS hood.

Use a mixture of car wash and baking soda and scrub lightly. This is how I remove stuff from my car, works great.

Try Pledge. I know it sounds funny but it works. especially on materials like plexiglass where other chemicals can marr the material. Plus it leaves a nice protective shine...

Go see your local vinyl decal maker. He'll fix you up. Most likely he'll use a product called citrusolve, or something similiar
