18 inch ZO6 rims???!!!
i have a 1992 Z28 Convertible. i am going to gt eibach pro-kit springs. i am going to roll the fenders to pickup some clarence for the tires. will it be possible to mount 18x9.5 ZO6 rims? i have 17s on their now. if anybody has done this and it worked please let me know.

it would be possible in the rear. you would need either a 4th gen rearend, or spacers/adapters to make them work. it would not be a direct bolt on. as far as the front the 9.5 width is pushing it. it actually depends on how you feel about modifying your wheelwell and what size tires you run. the biggest 18's i've seen on a 3rd gen in the front is a 18x9 running 265/40/zr18 (powermite is the users name) with a eibach pro-kit drop. you would also need to run spacers/adapters in the front.
check out the site www.performancewheeloutlet.com they sell Z06 replicas for cheap. maybe you could do 17's in the front and 18's in the rear and just even out the tire series (45 series in front, 40 series in the rear) to keep the total sizes the same.

i have the spacers on the wheelsi have now. i ahve 17x9.5 zr1 style. i hav 275-40 al the way around. i hve no proble with the width of th wheel. the width will not change on the 18s but how much taller is the wheel tire combo then the ones i have on rightnow. i would prolly run a 275/35 all the way around. i want to keep the same size for economical reasons for rotating. would a narower tire be better? like a 265?

no they have 17's and their spacing is a bit off so the wheels look like they are sticking out. i'd have to see it in person but in the latest worldwidecamaro magazine they didn't look to hot.
so i take it you've given up on the idea?
for those interested the 9.5's should fit since alot of firehawks are running 275's all around on their 17" rims.
someone is bound to try it eventually.
use adapters...not spacers and stay away from performancewheeloutlet.com.
good luck.
