What do you think I can get for my Camaro?

Thinking of buying an IROC, so that would mean selling the Sport Coupe. Specs and mods are in the sig.

Additional info:
105k miles
5k on rebuilt 700r4
9 months on new paint

Old pic, the car does have a grille and nose emblem.

I would say that since its in good condition w/ okay mileage and new tranny 3k. Looks good I'd probably ask about 4 - 5k for my 68k camaro 92 RS. I ain't planning on selling it though.

I'd have to say 2k tops. I'm no appraiser though, I just don't see high demand for a SC with a 305.

It depends who you find to buy it. When I bought my first car, a 92 RS, I didn't do my research. I didn't know the differences between RS's and Z28's except Z28's were faster. I was a kid who wanted a black Camaro with a V8. I paid $5200 for it with 63K on it and was happy. Then I found thirdgen.org, did research, and wanted an IROC. Sold the RS for $4000 and bought my IROC for $5200. Much better

i dunno about you but i'd rather have the v6 then a 305 lg4. the preformance is about the same, but you get better gas mileage with the 6 :P

How do you figure that? The LG4 has 20 more horses, and about 90 ft/lbs more torque according to the info on this site. And I think I've heard people say the LG4 can get around the same mileage as a 6.

Just realized, I didn't put my sig up top.

I would guess about 2000 tops. Im not saying your car is crappy or anything, but our cars do not hold their value all that well. Right now, everyone wants a giant SUV to haul their kids to soccer practice or buy $300 worth of groceries and actually carry them home. Until people start wanting cars again and/or our cars become classics, they really arent worth that much. I checked to blue book value on my car, and I checked options that I don't even have, like T-Tops, leather, cd changer, great condition, and it quoted me at $1350. Whats even worse is that my dads 82 Yamaha Virago 750CC (motorcycle) with 7000 miles is worth $1500. Whats that sh*t about?

Wohoo 1000 posts!!!! weeee!:lala:

it's not worth anything, give it to me...

have you considered converting your car into an iroc clone? I would do the appearance first, suspension second, and engine work last...that way you can keep your car and have what you want...

Most of our cars are worth very little. I would agree that $2000 is what you could expect to get for your SC.

When it comes to the LG4 305, it is a highly weezing engine. Very low performance for its size. I would rather have the sorry LG4 than the current V6 that I have. At least the LG4 has many speed parts available and you have the option to put in a 350 without much trouble.

In terms of milage, the V6 is going to obtain higher milage than the LG4 unless the V6 is high milage and out of tune.

There is very little demand for 15-20 thirdgens. I mean they are not exactly classics, except for the Turbo TAs.

also as far as v6 vs. v8 in this case, the v8 may have a little more power, but it weighs alot more also...just a thought

I wouldnt necesarrily say its a bad thing that our cars arent worht much right now. Every time I go to the junk yard and get a big pile of parts for dirt cheap, my friend who owns a 65 and 66 mustang is like 'damn you'. Look into first and 2nd gen reproduction parts and see if you still think we have it bad. Just dont expect to sell your car for much any time soon.

I have to disagree. The LG4 is the better deal. Better engine, more power, horses, parts, fun, etc. I out run those sixes all the time and my LG4 is nothing special. And as far as gas, who is driving their car a long way to really worry about gas milage. As long as there is a recession gas will be high no matter what engine you have.
Now as far as selling the SC, get what you can. There is someone that will buy it just beacause it is clean. since the value is not real high for our cars you need someone that "wants a Camaro" sort of like "Mettalli" did in his first car. Anyone doing research before buying is probably not going to spend a lot of money to build up the V6 SC, but would instead be looking for a 91/92 or IROC or something.

Umm personally I hate that nose soooo much its hideous in my opinion, and I'm also not a big fan of camaro's as is. But If I were too buy that I would say $700-1500. I personally would just build it up some, like with a bigger V8 thats not carbed. I also hate Carbed cars, lol. But if you want too sell it go buy a Z28 GFX's and front end and I bet you will get alot more that you think you can get for it.
