What would you do if...

if you were in this fantasy situation what would you do? say you just got a 100% stock in perfect condition camaro, mid 80's age (any style...) what would be the first things that you would do to it, such as in removing or adding things, making it more powerful... not just relating to appearance but to how it runs too.

i guess i could say it as what would be the first things you would do to any stock camaro you got?
(dont we all wish we could be in this situation...)

My collections wish list!

I want a low milage Heritage edition Z white with the red stripes.
that I would leave completely stock

thats about the only camaro I want.

otherwise I'd get a TTA, a 91-92 GTA, 91-92 Firehawk, My Car now, and 87 L98 GTA, and 85-90 T/A Vert, and a 91-92 T/A Vert

All low miles/original (except my car now of course). Hopefully I can get a good job making decent money and colect 3rd and 4th gen F-bodies-and have them all.

My 4th gens would be

1997 Red T/A Ram Air 6 speed WS6
25th ann. T/A Vert
NHRA edition T/A
1998 WS6 Black 6 speed
2001 Sunset Orange Metallic WS6 6speed
Collectors Edition

93-97(not sure which year) SS 6 speed, black
98-02 (Not sure which year)SS 6 Speed Silver
Anniversary Edition

If keeping the original motor, I'd get headers and a cat-back first.

I would take a TTA

I would do all appearance mods since it is already a fast car, but i wouldn't do anything that couldn't be reversed and put back to stock in case i wanted to sell it......

IMO, headers and cat back or gears posi. you said it would be in perfect condition so i would not burn a lot of money on appereance mods.

Appearence wise I would lower it a little. Then I would get the loudest possible exhaust. That's enough to start with.

A big aluminum wing, some stickers, 2 BIG shiney mufflers would be next, then that thing would rock.

The first thing I would do is get a complete exhaust; headers down to the catback. Thats all I would do for about 3-5 years. After that, I would spend money into a killer engine and a killer body. I am really into highly customized cars, but not to the point where they are kit cars.

First I'd install some 1 3/4" headers and a good 3" catback. I'd run a straight pipe in place of the cat. Then I'd drop in a 350 with Vortec heads, an LT4 cam, a Performer RPM intake, and an Avenger 670 carb. If the car has a 700r4 I'd replace it with one from Probuilt and get a Viglante 2800 tq converter. If it has a T5 I'd replace it with a T56. If the rear is anything less than a 3.45 posi 9 bolt, I'd swap it out for one. I'd leave the suspension stock except for some boxed lca's and an adjustable torque arm. I wouldn't touch the body or the interior.

I would want a TTA

Since it was in perfect condtition, I wouldn't even touch the exterior, leave that be.

I would do internals, definatly turn up the boost, get headers & a Cat-back, & do some porting. probably leave it at that, those cars need to stay as origional as possible

First thing I would do is detail the car. As a professional detailer, it just comes naturally.

Ahh, i would keep it simple. I would buy a brand knew 5.7l Iroc, black. Remove all of the iroc badging, replace the hood with an rs hood (no blisters). Keep the 16inch iroc wheels of course (just too cool to ditch). Run dual exaust (or as close as i could manage) headers of course, all of the tpi goodies i could find. 35% tint or a bit darker all around. And rs badges for the gfx's. Then go out and have a bit of fun.
