Chrome wheels on white 3rd gens?
Im looking for some opinions on whether chrome looks good with white. My wheels are done for, the paint is faded and the silver is chipped. Considering some ZR-1's. What do you guys think?

Honestly I think factory wheels that are chrome are a bit in person. But still look good.
Z28z has some on his car that is white, maybe try PM'ing him.

I've seen some of those 18" IROC wheels that were fully chromed on a black IROC.
They looked like regurgitated diarrhea!!!!!! And that's being nice!!!!!
But that's just my 2¢.

Plus there is the search function in the readers rides. You can be pretty specific over there.....

I believe on thirdgen resource's web site their project car is a white convert. with chrome Z06 wheels. It doesn't look too bad. I guess it all depends on what type of wheel it is on the car. I would think the ZR1's would look sweet. good luck
Everyone has their own opinion on what looks good and what doesn't. I'd prefer to drive my car down the street without blinding squirrels with my rims, but some people like that stuff.
I think polished is the best look.

polished wheels are nice as apposed to painted........but they won't get you noticed......
blinding squirrels........haven't thought of that; have seen people cover their eyes or put sunglasses on; but it's only in fun i'm sure.
one things for sure rims can make or break the appearance of your car, if your looking to be subtle go with a stock look....for the rest of us chrome is the only way to go!!
blind away........

Fellas there is a new "chrome" out its a power coat. looks just as good or evern better also available is black chrome poweder coat ask powder coating shops they should have herd of it by now. looks great...
you mean ceramic coat.............
much like everything you see here and the same stuff they use on headers??
if it isn't "highly" machine polished or chrome it isn't shiny.
bubbakutz, it's probably your brake drum...

I agree that chrome or polished wheels look better on a darker car and satin finish or painted look good on lighter cars, but it's your ride make yourself happy....... 1986 Trans Am stock (for now)
