will the stock 93-01 Trans AM spoiler fit on my 1987 firebird?? its the kind that rises up, is it just like buying one from gtauto

Some one did this before--a lot of sanding and triming was required to make it fit. You might as well just get the one from GTA auto accessories since it was made specifically for a thirdgen.

Talk to NOSAINT... He has done it and said it's not that hard. The only problem really is the pillars......If you can get one for cheap, I'd think about it......Just my opinion though...

Here is a pic...You can see the pillars are too short for our cars. Cut them off, or extend them, or leave them.. What ever you want...

If the wing can bolt on to the sides then I think I might try a real 4th gen wing. I never like the middle supports. I like the long swooping arc because it looks cleaner, simplier, and probably easier to clean under. I am going to start looking for a used 4th gen wing.
