there were two periods on non production of the z28 during its creation in 1967 and its demise in 2002.

1) can you name the years?

2) why was it killed the first time?

3) why was it broght back the second time?

4) if firebirds and camaros were both intriduced in 1967, then why is there no 35th anniversary t/a?

because the t/a was introduced in 1969?

/edit: there were no Z28's in 1989 and 90 iirc

2) Handling was the name of the game, and HP lost its priority

3) It came back because the IROC was dropped.

4) The TA wasnt introduced until '69

Was to do with fuel?? some sort of fuel crisis..

 

you are so close!! i'll give you three choices:

1) The Z28 had terrible horsepower due to emission restrictions.

2) The Z28 sales were lackluster the year before

3) The Z28 had terrible gas mileage and the gas war was in full effect at the time.

FYI, the Z28 name never really disappeared a "2nd" time. From 88-90 it's true that it didn't show up on the exterior of the car, but the IROC-Z package was identified by RPO Z28, so the Z28 was in fact still active. GM was also too cheap to change the dash badge, so all of the IROCs had a Z28 dash badge.
