OK heres the deal i have 2 jobs makin plenty of money i have about 7000 in the bank and steady paychecks Now heres the quistion should i get a 67-69 camaro project car and fix that up and all. OR get like a 92 z28 350 in perfect condition and modd it. In a few years 92 z28s are goin to be rare. Up too you, I would think it over and put down the pros and cons, but if you want a daily driver go for a 3rd gen for now * unless you already have a daily driver*

If you have a daily driver, I'd restore an old Camaro. If not, get the thirdgen.

if you have lots and lots of time go for the 69' but you wont be able to mod it too much performance wise unless you come up with about 3 grand more and that still wont go too far. now a third gen u can have it as a daily driver and mod it and with 7 grand u can make one bad *** third gen. so i say go for the third gen.

That's a tough one, I've always wanted a 1st Gen Camaro, I'd have to go for the 1st Gen idea.

But can't go wrong either way.

I would have to say the 3rd Gen........

Not much custom work on a 1st Gen, restoring is pretty much the only option....

If you ask me i would say buy the thirdgen. Í would guess that its easier to find parts to restore a thirdgen than a 69 camaro. But the old ones are really nice but they consume a lot of dollars if you are going to restore one.

there are a million things you can do to them - including suspension mods that will let the car handle equal to or better then a new ZO6. since i bet you have a daily driver already i would get the first gen. they are bad *** - i want one so bad. too bad i still have at least 4 yrs of college left. but on the other hand finished product the thirdgen will be cheaper. i mean the emmissions concern is probably not important if you are in some ****ty state like california (lol) and you CAN have a bad *** sounding third gen - duals arent that hard and putting in a high HP motor takes only a lil time and money - same with the first gen though. bottom line is i bet in the end more people will look at and admire the first gen

I'd have to say, mod out the 3rd gen. In the future, these puppies are gonna transform into a beautiful classic. The 1st gen restoration has already been there, done that. The beauty of a future 3rd gen, is in the hands of its present owner. Have fun, and good luck.

absolutely brody, but that's for a mint 69, that's already done. I only could wish that I owned a 69 SS. They are truely the 8th wonder of this world in my opinion. He's talking of restoring vs modding. I was just stating that the restoring of 1st gens has already been done before. The fate of a present 3rd gen and it's possibilities are in the hands of it's owner.
