That's a nice yellow IROC they have in that scene........

And of course, of ALL THE CARS, to show in a trailer park scene........What do they come up with..........A thirdgen firebird.....

I had to go to 3 different movie theaters to find one that wasn't sold out......

8-Mile....

it's nice to see detroit represented across the land, alot of those streets and areas you see are things that we deal with everyday around here.

as far as the trailerpark thing, there are reasons for that and if you ever went to a single park out this way you would understand. you could put money down that there will be one thirdgen in every trailer park in michigan; it's a fact of life unfortunately.

it is rather funny though how people follow a trend, if eminem were from alaska who knows what they'd be wearing then. hell marshall doesn't wear any of that stuff when he's home; it's all image. so many people look to detroit and try to act as if it's the place to be. i think it was quoted best in the movie next friday.....forgot who said it; but something like this "I always said i'd never leave the ghetto, but as soon as i got a little money i was gone........". it's very true, just to bad some of those kids don't realize it.

Yeah I thought it was actually a pretty good movie. The freestyle battles were awesome. And Eminem's actually a pretty decent actor.

The yellow Camaro looked pretty sweet.

I liked it, eminem can act, hes not one of the singers who obviously dont belong on the screen. there are more than 3 thirdgens in the movie, there is like 5 or 6 actually.

The end is great, talk about a slap in the face.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised/offended by that; the cars are old, they're cheap, and anybody can afford them. I would think they'd be in trailer parks anywhere, esp Detroit where people are less likely to buy imports in the first place.

Detroit...Where the Weak are Killed and Eaten!

Lived there for three months in the summer of '93!

i don't think anyone should be surprised/offended......my point in the fact of life is that people can't always afford the newer car or to keep them up to original condition so it's a fact of life that you find them rundown in trailer parks more common than elsewhere.

I meant to post that as soon as I got home from the movie... but I was drunk and forgot what I was doing ()

The yellow IROC-Z was really nice! It's nice that thirdgen's get some light somewhere.... it's about time.

As far as Eminem being a good actor.... I'm not saying he is not a good actor, but he played himself!! There really wasn't any acting involved.

Keep in mind people.......

This movie was flimed in 1995 which means the cars would have been a bit newer then they are now........

The thirdgens would have probally costed a bit more.....
