amp and rear speakers

Ok I posted this on the Car Audio thread and I also decided to post it here considering that there are alot of people that post here...

Is it possible to connect an amp to the rear speakers of my Camaro? Will there be a difference in sound quality? I'm planning on getting new speakers and I don't want to get a sub just yet.

Thanks

An amp will not improve your sound quality. An amp will simply provide more power than the stock radio can provide. It'll play louder (to a point) but it won't sound any different.

I amped my speakers and got a nice loud clean sound from them over the built-in amp of my head unit.

Check out my post under the same topic in the Car and Audio section. No one even tried to help me with this question. That's why I posted this topic on this section.

It might be louder, but it's not going to sound better. The amplifier is still amplifying the exact same sound from the deck as what would have been sent to the speakers directly. If you have crap sound from the deck, amping it is going to give louder crap sound. There's really no way around that.
