ok i just bought an 85 Iroc, it was a PA car..therefore the car never needed front plates..there is a piece of plastic there with a camaro logo on it. i do not want to drill holes in this plastic to attach the plate, is there some type of bracket i can buy? the car is in mint condition and i want to keep it that way any ideas?

After going to the car show recently I noticed 4th gen owners with plates mounted on the air dam, I was like, is that legal.

Someone showed me VA law, plate must be mounted on front bumper or within 19 inches of bumper.

Mine is now on the air dam

Thier is a bracket that the plate attaches to, but that gets screwed into the 2 holes that should be on either side of the camaro letters.

Hmm, this was brought up a while ago, and if you don't have a certain RPO code (mounting brackets/holes) then you don't need the plate. Try a search for it unless someone knows it, maybe you can get away without one.

I thought it started with a V, forget the rest though, I know I have it, if you have that RPO, then you're required to have the plate. Though, i'm not too sure if this will fly with the police or the courts.

Funny thing is in Massachusettes we have to have it too. I had my mom with me in the car the sunday morning i got all the mods in my sig done from over the summer. He looked around at the car i had the front plate still in its clear bag sittin right on the flat top in the hatch area. he looked at me and just shook his head.

On another note I have to use the Masspike to get to my girlfriends college. I was wondering if i could "accidently" fold down my back liscense plate bracket like i was opening it up and just cruise through the fast lane line. They take apic of your car to send u a ticket i quess but it would be down. Think that would work? It would save me $4.20 round trip

Ha....4.20 go fiqure:lala:

i have seen some plastic grill type insets for the 82-92 camaros that fit over the camaro bumper thing. the seem to have the cour bolts molded into the plastic. or has that option already been considered?

In AZ, the DMV only sends you 1 plate when you buy a new car
