Go to Paint, open the file, then click ctrl+w, now resize to about 40% or so. Resave the file as a different name so you can save the original too, and save it as a jpg file. Now when you post scroll down to the attachment area and click browse and find the file on your HD.

Just type the file name you want, and put .jpg at the end that should do it. I don't understand why there is no option for jpg though.

What exactly are you doing, are you going down to the browse button and selecting a file?

LOL, you sound just like my brother, ok let's start over.

Go to Paint, open your file.
click ctrl+w now resize to about let's just say 35%.
Now, go to save as, and just save it as this file for now , pic.jpg, now try to attach again.

Do this also, click your mouse somewhere on the pic, so the pic isnt' selected that should help.

Actually try this too, when you downsize the pic, where all that white area is, scroll all the way down and to the left, and drag the white box in to so that it is just surrounding the pic. Where there will be no more white box.
