That seems like an odd place to have a car on jackstands, hope no one, decides to mess with it.

why would it be bad??? it's the same as it would be sitting if it had tires on it. i have the jacks on the rear axle and front control arms...

and to add that even if your statement does have any truth, i have sfcs if that helps :P

but either way nah.

It is actually bad to leave your car on jackstands for long periods of time, Your unibody isnt meant to support the weight of the vehicle, its the tires along with the suspension. Your best bet is to get a set of old tires and rims.

Yup, I read awhile ago it's bad to leave it on stands too. Maybe do a search on the tech board, I'm sure Vader has commented on it.

lol actually klayburn i have working hoodshocks, if you didn't notice the picture above there is no wooden stick anymore.

as for the drums... well... they're aluminum... so hah! and drums make less of a mess than disc brakes do, and they're cheaper to change, and you have to change em less often... i still have posi so bluh!

and my car came with an aluminum driveshaft factory, did yours?

my car is also 5-speed and has t-tops from the factory. and it's not teal, haha :P

I sent some resentment, I don't think Klayburn meant it as an attack.

I'd rather have disc rear myself, better stopping capabilities.

Tires and rims don't "reduce" the force on the unibody of the car. If he has the car jacked up on the rear-end and the control arms it's the absolute same thing as having it sit on the rims. The only way there would be any kind of extra force on the frame would be if he took the rims and tires and threw them in the back seat.

Trust me, I'm a senior Mechanical Engineer, and I use the crap I learned in my statics class freshman year often.
