Yes, thats right .... a 83 z28. Heres a list of things that it needs ....
1) a motor which I currently have a 350ci. in pieces in my garage. I have to get it honed, new bearings and a gasket set and i can assemble it

2) The correct z28 front end, not a SC. Which ill order from up22.com unless anyone has a better place. I want to get rid of the vent thing underneath of the facia .. what do you guys think.

3) Windshield (have someone that can do it for me), interior work, and paint.

I'll have fun this winter. Even if i use it for a parts car its still worth 200 bucks. The passenger front quarter was replaced, has a blistered hood, and its gonan get decomputerized. I already got a ton of spare parts for it from my bird.

EDIT : Mark, if (which it probably will) its done before june, maybe ill bring it down to Nats. Or the bird, ehh, whichever one looks nicer by then.

Just a question; what's wrong with the windshield? It looks good in those pictures.

It has the correct front nose and ground effects for an 83. No need to change it.

An 83 Z28 came with this nose:

the picture shown does have the GFX on it somehow, but it is a SC nose.

Good deal, the blisters, and the front clip are worth 2 bills alone. Let along, a true z28. :lala:

that front clip is nasty... got shivers looking at it that's not the Z 28 front clip, it might be the front clip from a berlinetta (sp?) you know, the cheap model of the camaro. the lil 3 vents on the nose look simular to it. doubt if that's the original w/ the car. sorry for wasting everyones time, just couldnt bare to look anylonger.

Nice purchase, It looks like a great project car. I picked up a rusty 82 z/28 last year for 100.00 but that had a 73 350 with a 4-speed and 3:73's. Ran great but looked a little ruff. Is kind of a parts car now, need anything?

Wow, that my car's twin (almost). Except the only difference I see is that your's doesn't have the rear wiper and a power antenna. What other options does it have (curious)?

Berlinetta wasn't the cheap one, it was the "luxery" model.

Yeah, that is like, Not a Z28 front end, It looks like just a SC front end with the Z28 front spoiler attatched

Click on link in my sig for pics of my SC, and it's front end!

the berlinetta and the sport coupe and lt's all had the same nose up until 87.....

82-84 Z28s had that front GFX "air dam"

I've never seen that nose with GFX though....I kinda like the way it looks....I would keep it that way....I'm definatly buying a SC nose if I ever buy an early Z28....

Man thats a sweet deal.
I sold my 87 firebird in July and have been trying to find something lsimular to what you have there for a few hundred so I can fix it up while I go to school, but I have had no such luck so far. Oh well tomorrow; another bargain trader comes out, maybe this will be my chance.

Congrats on Great buy.

Everyone arguing that its the wrong front end. It is!! I stated it is and im gonna get a new one soon. Just UP22.com is the only one i found so far.

Its gonan be done before winter is over .. ill take lots of pics.

MRZ28HO, i don't have rp0 codes but i can say that originallly lg4. Now messed up 350. 700r4, 3.23 rear .. no power locks, only power windows, cruise, and some others which i cant remember.

Personally I like the 3 vents, I also think the berlinetta;s are sweet i like the old school third gen look.....too bad they never came with a 350......they had crap for engines, but i still like the look...cept the gauges, they are lame! and how did ya end up finding that deal??

you can find them in year one's next gen catalog. they tend to be a little pricey but ive not checked out up22's noses.
