How to take care of chrome ???

I just got some new chrome wheels for my car (Pacer 167) and I'm wondering what a good product is to clean and maintain them and how often I should do so. Thanks.

I clean my rims at least once a week..........If you live where it's snowing then i would suggest more then that........

Any higher end chrome polish is the way to go, which you acn find at any local auto parts store....

I prefer Turtle Wax Chrome Polish.......works great.....

For polishing my rims and exhaust tips I use turtle Wax Chrome polish on mine as well. I have heard regular wax works well also, for maintaining & protecting.

Since my car stays in side during the winter & all chrome is covered & Protected. We only do it During show season & use Mothers Chrome cleaner you only need a spot of it.

i wouldn't advise the use of them during cold winter months...

the main thing is to keep them clean and have a nice layer of protectant on them.

i wax mine every third wash and wash them regularly with the car. i avoid most, not all rain days as well as do not drive in snow or salted roads....even salt residue on the roads is bad news.

had mine for almost 5 years now and the first year was driven through snow and salt. although tripple plating really makes a difference they look almost as good as when i bought them.

"never dull" it comes in a silver tin at auto zone, you wipe a cotton ball of that stuff and wipe it right off 5 mins later
I use it on the bike all the time, it can also work out rust spots.

I keep a bottle of 'wheel wipes' in my car, they work GREAT, and i'm pretty sure they're for all types of wheels. I don't have the bottle here with me, but I think it was penzoil or something brand.... it's in a bottle just like armorall wipes, comes with 25 wipes. It works GREAT and is really handy. I highly recomend it.
