very very nice
that car is from the same town I am in.
I don't think I have ever seen it.
I always thought putting a TPI on a 383 would do nothing but kill the power. any thoughts on that?

well, a 383 would make gobs of low end torque, but you wouldnt want to spin it very high, so the high-end limitations of tpi wouldnt be as bad as you think, i would definitely not run a stock tpi, but with some modifications, i think you would be ok.

WARNING, dont' buy it, or bid on it, I know the owner, and SHE HAS HAD MONDO TROUBLE WITH THAT CAR, looks nice, sounds nice, but its big trouble, and she has no documentation to prove its a 383 some think its a mild 355.

I'd steer clear of that car.

and why do people think its a 355 and not a 383.
I never heard of a 383 TPI

Car: 88 Trans Am
Engine: lt1 intaked 355 makin 277 on 25 psi of fuel pressure and stock timing :)
Transmission: A4 stock... that moved a mobile dyno a foot shifting into 2nd :)
i hear about 383 TPI's all the time... i bet the problems with the car is the fact that is probably was a 305 not a 350 and if its a 383 its probably got a 305 chip in it there for not getting enough fuel... and falling on its face.....
