Need help deciding what color to paint my Firebird (Photoshoppers come in too)

I am taking my car to be painted either this weekend or the next so I need your opinions on what color I should paint my car. I haven't decided what color I want yet, but I'd like to have it a different color this time instead of gray. Here's my Firebird pictures page so you can see what you think would look good on my car. My car was painted 2 years ago, the factory color, but now there are some scratches on it, and if you get up close to it, you can see an "orange peel" look (although it isn't that bad).

Right now, here are my choices:

My 1st choice: Silver (with Dark Charcoal Metallic bird hood logo)
2nd: Black (with Silver Metallic bird)

So what do you think? I kinda like Silver (& Gray) because that seems rare on a third gen. Red and black seem to be the 2 popular colors for 3rd gens (but there aren't many around here so it would still be ok).

Here are two colors I've photoshoped in:
Black
Red

Photoshoppers, if you want to show us a color you like (and I would appreciate silver also, I couldn't photoshop silver on my car), I stuffed a photoshop file in ZIP format. The photoshop file already has the correct part of the picture masked off so just create an adjustment layer to change the color of the car. Or if you prefer you can do it yourself with a picture from my website. Here is the zip:

Thanks for your opinions!

I love gunmetal grey, so I would just repaint it the same color. Plus it will be easier to do since you won't really have to do the engine bay and door jambs, etc.

But of course, black is good

Ditto. I love that color (Gunmetal grey). I would add some pearl and or more metal flake and some stripes. Silver is nice as well but the jams should be painted if you change colors.

I'm liking the silver since I'm partial to it, but I think the only way to do a color change correctly is to do it from the frame up and that's a lot of work. (I know you can just do the doors and stuff, I apparently like a lot of work O_o)

Stick with gunmetal grey, it is a gorgeous color. I have it on the bottom of my car, and on the door handles (mirrors were supposed to be that color as well, but *shrug*)

What about the gunmetal grey with a silver metallic bird or silver accents someplace? Or silver flakes in the grey paint? Whatever you decide to go with it'll turn out great!

As a tribute to the '77-'78 Sky Bird, I think you should paint it baby-blue, with two-tone blue pin stripes. I hear the "Sky Bird" decals are available again too. Then you could get some honeycomb wheels and paint them baby blue too. That'd be way cool!

go white w/ a lil blue pearl in it,then metallic blue bird on the hood, and if it would look bad a$$ to make the wings stretch down over the sides and turn into flames

Thanks guys for responding. I decided to go with Navy Blue Metallic. From what I've seen in pictures, it is black in the shade and blue in the sun. I was looking to get something a little different than the gray it is now. I am getting it painted this Saturday, and I can post pictures after I get it back.
