Did anybody else notice that the LTR setup appears to have been replaced with a tunnel-ram base and modified TPI plenum?

 

That car was a the F-Body gathering in Bowling Green,KY back in September.

It is a very nice T/A!! It also has a Corvette IRS and a ZF 6peed.

I have some better pics that I will try to scan this weekend.

 

I remember when that car was first built. It was in 1990 and it used to appear at the Motor City Race Rock Cafe every weekend. It also has a 6 speed.

GM owns it and its kept in Warren, MI at the GM Tech Center. The only time it see's daylight these days is on the show car circuit.

 

Hey formul8, you were in kentucky?. so was i..i thought that car looked familiar. THey didnt have the hood open though did they?..i dont recall seein that engine..i got afew pix of the outside,but tahts about it.

um, I wonder why he used an older style steering wheel. Or IS this is thing an 87 GTA? Anyone have more info on the year. Do they still make those rims?

 

Is that a single turbo or dual setup? I can't tell from the pics.

 

2 turbos and the rims were made by BBS. Still may be available or they may have a newer similar model.

Hmm... 87 GTA steering wheel, pre 85 console, 92 GFX, no air extractors in the fenders... thats a damn tough call to make.
