Yeah Mark, you told me about the aluminum heads. Now the price you paid...you said that included shipping. Are those assembled or bare? And where did you get them?
Oh, and thanks

I think I'll buy mine bare. That way i can port the bowls and clean them up even more, then put in my own stuff. Cheapest i found was $495 a pair, plus $38/each for shipping.

Mark, did you know Pro Action and AFR are the same company. And the Lightnings outflow the AFR 190's. Did you ever get any flow numbers? The shop that I'll probably get mine from said he'll send instructions on porting them without changing the intake size so you'll still get the the large airflow numbers without losing velocity for throttle response.

Yes, I was misinformed. AFR was the leading distributor of Pro heads for a while, but they ended up selling more pro's than afr's so they stopped selling them. I heard Pro Action's are built in New Zealand, and yes, they still outflow the AFR's for half the price!!!

Yes, you have the swap pretty close 305tpi to 383 carbed. It wasn't too bad. Got rid of the in-take fuel pump, and I had to re-wire all of the stock guages to work without the computers signal and interpretation. Other than that, it was worth it. No more,"whats wrong with my car". The carb is just the easiest motor to diagnose. It may not have the throttle response of the TPI, but the power and torque run right up to 6000rpm, unlike the tpi which died around 3500-4000rpm.

Thanks, it was a lot of work, I'm glad some people appreciate it.
Any time I go to a car show, I lose out to some gay frenched up ride that somebody went spray bomb crazy in their engine compartment. It gets a little discouraging, but then when it done and we're leaving, I just waste them on the highway, and everything is good again.
