Hi Bub.
No, it's not the 86 SC, it's the 91 RS. It's going well! Only done 20 miles since the end of October! Weather has been really awful. At this rate the engine won't be broken in until about 2008!! Oh well, at least I am not using too much fuel!
The SC is having airbags fitted, so will be low! New baby (2 days old) has slowed progress!!
Andy.
PS I want to see photos of your new paint job asap! Keep the SC's alive and kicking!

If I installed an open element air cleaner with the UK winter, the carb would ice up in no time! I will leave that for next summer.

You know you're a hot rodder if...
If every thing you own has a flame paint job, even your house and toilet.
But seriously it looks cool...

Looks great and it shows your attention to detail. Judging from the photo the bay looks like its been cleaned and painted which only compliments the painted flame parts.

I would try to make the flames thinner if you could.
Or swamp everything and make it look like this

>opinion on the air cleaner. I think the flame theme looks good and all but the air cleaner needs more smaler flames on there instead of just 3 spikes.

Awesome looking "past" engine bay!
Looking for a bit of advice.
Those chrome plated suspension top plates. How did you go about doing those? The reason I ask, is that I split the 2 halves, removed the rubber/bearing insert and then sent the bits off to be chrome plated-without a thought for putting the halves back together! Loads of other things taken to be chromed at the same time, so was disorganised!! Surely, just bolting them back together, with the 3 nuts on to the threaded studs coming through from the "horsehoe" plate aren't enough? How did you do it?
Regards.
Andy.
