Switching a 91 Firebird front end to an 85 front end...
I posted this before, but it didn't seem to get any replies so....
Are there any problems I might run into, besides moving the blinkers and switching the headlight covers?

Actually now that I say that, I might take that back. I'm not sure if he changed just the front or the whole front end (hood, fenders, bumper cover, headlights). I'll check for ya.

I switched my 83 nose for a 91 nose and this is what I found:
1) The 91 bumper cover did not fit over the 83 inner structure. Well, it did after I butchered it, but I later bought the correct impact bar & impact absorber (the eggcrate stuff) because I don't want my car to be a hack job (yeah, I know... too late!)
2) After switching the bumper cover, the headlight doors hit the front edge of the 91 bumper cover. It seems the older headlight doors are a bit longer. So I bought some 91 headlights. Since you're going the other way with yours, you might be fine.
3) I had to extend the wiring for the turn signals down to the new locations. You might have to extend the wiring as well, but it's no big deal. I soldered everything and used shrink wrap and then covered it in that black flex loom so you can't even tell.
All you should need are the bumper cover, impact absorber, impact bar, and turn signals. The 85-90 front end is probably the easiest to find, so you should be able to score used parts pretty
cheap. You know what, grab the turn signal wiring harness too while you're at the junkyard. And grab me some 91 GTA taillights too. Have fun.

If I recall right, the fenders are the same 82-92, but the hood, front bumper and the headlights are not. You should just scrap this project and give me those ground effects.
J/K It can be done and i think you should do it, if for no other reason than to get rid of the ugmo 91 style nose.
