Anyone with an SS hood for Camaro's please come in...
I'm curious if you guys have pictures to the underside of ASCD's SS hood for Camaro's? I was bored and trying to figure out if it was be possible to cut open the grill in the scoop and build and airbox to make the scoop functional with a cone filter that attaches to the throttle body. Basically I'm just looking for a picture of the underside of the SS hood so I can do a little mental masturbating when I have nothing better to do. Thanks.

Well one way to make it funcional would be if you had a supercharger or turbo, and setup an intercooler behind the scoop like subaru does with the impreza's, and have the scoop feed air to the intercooler

My gosh man I am glad I read this topic. I was going to get a cowl induction hood and I saw all these ss hoods and I liked them but now, I am leaning back to the cowl hood. I just took it for granted that the ss hood was functional. I can buy a ram air box for the cowl hood but are you guys telling me that you can't make the ss hood functional without major overhaul?

Now I am back on the fence again. I am glad I have a while till taxes come back. I am leaning toward the cowl hood now. I know I can get a ram air box for it. I like the looks of the ss hood though.

That's a nice set up you have in the trunk there too. My stereo is on the fritz right now. I have a couple of JBL 8" speakers in the trunk and an alpine amp to run them and another alpine amp to run the other 4 speakers. Right now the amp to the JBL's isn't working and only one speaker of the 4 is working. That really sucks.

You have the newer 90-92 dash don't you? What gauges do you have in the pod? I put a pod on like that and I put in an air/fuel gauge and a fuel pressure gauge.

No not bad at all. I put in the digital gauges and so far I really like them. I had to get a sending unit for the fuel pressure but I like it.
