3rd gen rims on a 4th gen rear
3rd gen rims on a 4th gen rear
Anyone have this set up? Does it look rediclious with the extra 2 inches on each side?
I only ask because 4th gen rears are so cheap and all the 3rd gen ones I have found are really expensive.
Anyone have pictures? In particular id be looking for shots of gta wheels with the wider rear, but any 3rd gen rims would be awesome
thanks for the help

I cant beleive I cant get a reply....this is rediclious
This is a legitimate question and has do do with something.
Why does this not get a reply and topics like "what kind of music do you like" or "bla bla look at this pos" get 30 or 40.
Do none of you know any real info?

I have a really good knowledge base for thirdgens, but when you start putting fourth gen parts on, well lets say im still learning. I would figure that with the extra 2 inches its not a matter of looking funny but I dont think the wheels would fit, I would figure the tyres would hit the outter fender wells. I had the 15" Z28 wheels on my Maro with 275 60's and the would hit, if your running Iroc rims or other 16" rims I would have to go with no they wont werk, but I will remind you Ive never tryed it. Are you trying to go with factory or aftermarket wheels, after market wheels can be bought to have the right backspacing to fit, and if you went with fourthgen wheels then you wouldnt need the 2 inch spacers in the rear either, you would save money by doing that. I just bought SS chrome ten spokes 17's and Im looking for a fourth gen rear, I could spend the money on a new diff instead of spacers, but thats my situation.
do a search on the body and interior for 4th gen rear end. There was a post not too long ago about this. I guy with a vert has pics of his car with a 4th rear end and stock wheels. i think it was topless 91 or something like that

I'll take a picture tonight of my friends car when we slap the 3rd gen rears on his 92. One of his 4th gen tires has a leak.
Oh, and he has a 4th gen rear on it.

It shouldnt hit the finder well unless your car is lowered and your wheels are allready INSIDE the upper part of the wheel well.
I dont think it would look bad, should actually look good, cause the thirdgen wheels are an inch or two inside the wheel well. so if they are brought out 2" they'd probobly be flush with the body, giving you a lil wider stance in the back

here's a fourthgen with thirdgen wheels i saw at woodward this year, it doesn't look too bad. hey topless91rs, you got pics of the whole car so i can see the front wheels too? are the fronts at the standard width still or did you put spacers on? by the way, it's zexel-torsen, not zexel-torsion
