I can get Heritage Stripes for $100. Yes, $100. I would get red. Most of you here have seen my car probably. It's a black RS (shiney) with polished IROC wheels (shiny too), red interior (also shiney, ArmorAll!!), and red bowtie grill (not shiney, covered with bugs). Do you think my car would look better or worse with the stripes? I also plan to get an SS hood and have red stripes painted on (like Brad's car, only the colors will be reversed) in a couple years

 

The stripes would look good with the IROC wheels, not Salad Shooters. J/K

I like the red/black theme, but it would get out of hand....I need to see the car and interior before i make my decision.....

 

Not really crazy about red stripes on a black car. Saw bright orange once, looked good, but none of the red on black setups did anything for me.

black stripe + red car = OK
red stripe + black car = no thanks

All-black Irocs and Z-28's are mean looking, don't change it.
'Heritage stripes' are such a me-too thing.

 

I don't think the anniversary stripes we hurt anything at all....It's hard to beat the looks of a 1992 Z28 (although they woule look good on an RS too)....all black with the red anniversary stripes.....looks sooo mean and aggressive.....and hard to find...what color is your interior? I have a 1991 Z28 all black....with grey interior....if it had red interior...I'd put red anniversary stripes on it...but....with grey interior...thought maybe it would clash with red stripes....

 

I've never seen a black 3rd gen with red stripes in person. In fact, it's rare to see a nice 3rdgen in my area at all. Here's a pic of my car

I'd say do it. RS's always need something, I see you've already added the rims, grill, and lights. The stripes will make it stand out more and not be so "ordinary" compared to Z28's and IROC-Z's. I know how it is.

It would look good, but not sure how it would look without the hood scoops. I think I would wait untill I got the ss hood. but thats just my 0.02 cents.

 

Those pictures make me want to lput red stripes on my 91.......but.....I think the stripes would look good going like more around the SS scoop...instead right down the middle....ya think??

THose badges are sweet!!!! i have an 89 Iroc with the hood Louvers... i dont like them (hard to clean) i wanna get badges/blisters, aside from e-bay where could i get those????
