PICS! - "new" wheels, less stripes with questions

Ive gotten all but the hood stripes off (they are painted on the hood), and the T/A rims. The adhesive from the stripes is a PITA to get off the car.

Now heres the important question. With drum brakes on the back, what was the exact thickness of the stock wheel spacers cause i can have my father make me some. The guy on the phone at the dealer was a jerk and didnt bother to help me out.

here are the pics ...

LOL, im not copying .... it so happened that my car is the same year with the same motor, same options, and i got a great deal on rims.

In a quest to succeed in making profit, car companies tend to mass produce more than one of the same vehicle ...

Yeah I guess its pretty easy to 'copy' someone when everyone does the same appearance mods over and over ...

I think the car looks great Deadtrend. Are you going to lower it?

Looks much better without the stripes and the GTA wheels are a nice touch.

Maybe I am just sick of the whole stripe thing. (Non-stock type, anyways, the camaro 25th setup looks great! I just don't dig stripes over the nose, bumpers, etc...)

The camaro is a long story. Ive had a s&w 8 point roll cage that i got a long time ago for the bird, but ill put it into the camaro.
The motor in the camaro is totally f'ed up, im not gonan mess with it. Im saving for a crate motor cause im too lazy to build mine. I have 2 350 long blocks in pieces if anyone wants to buy some parts.

I have a buddy with a garage that we will attempt to paint it when it runs. Im not sure how strong the tranny is, if it goes it goes when i put a motor in, probably will... no biggie.

85maroz28, i cant get them off the hood cause they are painted on it. Until, i can afford paint ill just have to live with it ... i doesnt look that bad. No one will think less of me .. :lala:

crazyhawaiian im not gonna lower the bird, i like the stance. Actually i think its high in the pics cause i just had it up on a jack and it didnt fully sink. Maybe on the camaro, ill get some eibach springs but thats number 450 on the 500 things i need to get first for it. Im actually putting v6 front springs on the bird .... soften that up for the track.

Bubba .... thanx, somethings about the stripes i didnt like. I was just tired of attention being drawn to it .. i like to travel incognito.

And for those who didnt know ... 91bird305 was just being a smartazz, as was me!

i was just wounderin how many peoples name on this board is Tim? lol mine is Tim also lol

but on the topic i think it looks good with or white out the strips. just need to ploish up the lip around the rim and make the black kinda stand out more maybe hit them up with some gloss black paint and use some clear on there also.

Very nice progress Tim I also prefer the "incognito" look. Much better w/o the stripes IMO
